Question: My brother has been unable to get on work release since he takes so many meds, even tho they are just maintenance. One of the deputies told him he would be better off transferring to prison - meds are free, he could work, get outside, etc. He thinks he could get out from under judges order and get out sooner thru parole system & not have to do as long a parole as judge decided. Any truth to this? Now he is in Solitude cell block.
Jail Media: I probably wouldn't trust a deputies legal advice - you should definitely talk to an attorney about the trade-offs of transferring to prison. Most of the time this isn't the inmates decision, this is the court's - again, talk to an attorney for a decision of this magnitude.
