Question: If some one is put in Maximum Security what does this mean? Misdomeaners or Felony. Bad people or Bad Crimes. They will get out maybe or they will have to hard time. I don't understand? Do they need to be so scared in their. Which Block would be Maximum Security? Can they have visitors, like their Mom or their Boss. Can the Bishop of our ward come and see him. Can you tell me when visiting is for Maximum. What if the person in there is scared, and crying? If he is in with murderers will they abuse him?

Jail Media: Basically the whole jail is considered maximum security with the exception of the annex (where Jail Industries and Work Release inmates are housed). So you will be going to the main area of the jail to visit someone in maximum security. It just means that the inmates are under supervision all the time by guards. People in maximum security may have misdemeanors or felonies.

Our stance is that most inmates have committed crimes (some bad, some not so bad) but are in general not bad people. Our goal is to prepare people for jail and hopefully deter some people from having to go to jail.

Yes, you can visit somebody in maximum security - you will need to contact the jail to find out what housing unit they are in and what the visiting schedule is. I believe they can have two different visits per week but you should ask whether that's the case.

As far as being scared in jail, that is normal. Some people probably cry when they first come in, but they will adjust eventually and probably be fine. Generally they are not in there with murderers unless the murders are awaiting trial. Remember, the last thing the guards want is an incident so in general they will make good decisions that will protect people in there. Probably the best piece of advice I can give is that you talk to an attorney and find out what options you have.
