Question: My fiance is in custody serving a 90 day sentence with no good time and i would like to visit him but i have been in jail with in the last 5 years im basically his only family.

Jail Media: It is very rare for an inmate to serve a full sentence without good time - if you petition the court for a review (write a letter requesting one or have your fiance write a letter) after serving 60 days he will probably receive a release that day (warning: we do not want to get your hope up, but that would be a very normal scenario so you should at least try).

As far as visiting goes we were not aware that you could not see an inmate if you had been to jail in the past five years - our understanding was that felons could not go see inmates. We will follow up with the jail to find out whether that is really the policy just in case a guard having a bad day gave you bad information.

Thank you for your comment - hang in there and hopefully you will be back together with your fiance soon.
